NASA provides funding for 8 weeks of summer undergraduate research for up to 12 qualified applicants. Selected students work closely with a NASA investigator to learn the details of research in planetary geosciences. Students receive a stipend of $250 per week, transportation costs from residence to JPL, and a per diem allowance to cover housing and meals.

Caltech’s Student-Faculty Programs Office provides administrative
support to the NASA PGGURP program. Students may live on the Caltech
campus and will join a large community of undergraduate researchers. Once they
have been selected for PGGURP program, students will receive information
and instructions from the SFP Office.
